Bye Bye

Getting my fancy Peace Corps pin. I'm now an RPCV.

Due to some circumstances outside of my control (or somewhere deep in my conscience), I am leaving Cameroon today... a bit early. Not without all the regalia of "gonging out," though.

It's been fantastic. I'll be back.

Kelsey,
Thanks for taking the time to take care of our people and to learn of the enormous problems we face in spite of the bountiful gifts nature has provided us. We hope the work you have done can help change the lives of the people you touched.
Thank you plenty.

Congratulations! I didn't get to see your pin before you got in the car this afternoon ... but will next time. I also found some papers you left here and I will hold on to them and trade you for those DVD's. ;-)

Is the pin diamond encrusted? My days are already boring without you around to text and you haven't even gotten on the plane yet. Ughhhhhhhhhh. Safe journey-oh!

Congratulations! I look forward to reading your final, concluding summary of the past two years in the Cameroons (of Ouest Afrique).

With grateful hearts, we enjoyed your blog--and learned more some times from you than Nathan (our son), one of your colleagues in work, feasting, and beach trips.

For your timely posting of many photos (especially when the PCVs gathered), both Pam, my wife, and I will always be grateful. (I've saved and printed several of your photos of PC experiences from Philly to Limbe, exclusively pix when Nathan was in one, i.e., in order not to violate copyrights!)

Please also give my thanks to your mother, Sue, who first brought together (online) "left-behind" relatives--and friends--when ANY news meant so much to us!

Hoping to meet you face-to-face, (in Chicago or wherever?)
